I also used to eat there, though not too regularly, in the late 80&#039;s. I also remember the Marlin Bar, and now miss all those old places that used to be around. Morningside Heights is now like a huge mall anymore.

Now some of these landlords are getting what they deserve in the economic downturn after kicking out some old but dependable tenants, only to have their spaces sit empty for months or even years...</description>

Good thoughts!  I appreciate hearing about Old New York and lament its gradual loss.  I just saw that Morningside Books, formerly Papyrus, closed.  When will this end?

Man, we had good times at The Marlin.  In some ways, I came of age in there.

Do you have other old photos of the neighborhood?  That&#039;s a great shot of the bar.
